I didn't have any luck with the pieces locking together with the internal tabs, the larger tabs also didn't fit the top or bottom. Anyone else have this problem? Suggested fix?

EDIT:: I would LOVE a 1 Piece, anyone feel like a remixing it?

Got a Amazon link to a case this will fit in?

Did you use the carbon fiber rod? I'm just wondering why a rod with the diameter of 8 mm is recommended when the space for the rod in the design actually has the diameter of 9 mm. There are loads of space around the rod and I'm sure it will buzz like hell if I keep it like this.

hi, how is it possible that no support be used at these points?

I printed this on the Prusa i3 MK3 with PLA (sliced with Slic3r PE) exactly as designed and it handled the span as is. To answer your question, it's possible because it's within the capabilities of (some? most?) printers to span that much area unsupported. It didn't turn out particularly beautiful for me (the picture looks worse than real life), but as it's on the inside I'm not really sure it matters. I have spent no time tuning the printer to handle spans.

Looking in Slic3r, my first spanning layer looks a little different:

So no supports are used in printing this?

supports are built in
