Thanks for this great design, I can't mount the wheels on the axles, do I have to print the wheels out of TPU?

could you share your stl file for the new rim that you made please? I would really appreciate it

Since my stuff here is sold on eBay and Gearbest I decided to keep those for Shapeways only.

Not only do they offer a printing quality that one can't achieve at home but it gives my accountant a justification why there are $1000s in drones and 360 camera's for a software company ☝️

Also if you wouldn't mind sharing that rim file that you made Id really appreciate it!

Thats awesome. I do have one question for you I don't know why I had the problem but im hoping someone else has that ha made this. I could not decend after putting these on. It didn't block the sensors from what I could see but, I couldnt come down. The only way I could was basically having it in landing mode and I would have to control in back to me when it was in landing mode. There were a couple times where I had complete control of it but I know its this set up because as soon as I took them off I have not had 1 issue. Id really like to see someone have the same issue and what you guys have don't to solve it thanks!

You indeed need to turn off the bottom sensors for this mount.

Do you happen to know what is making the downward sensors think there is something there? I have this all printed up and your design perfectly goes around all of the sensors on the bottom. I completely agree that they need to be turned off but I have actually been able to fly completely fine with them turned on sometimes. Do you know if its the vision or speaker sensor thats having the issues? Id like to try and design something so that this is not an issue because having them on all the time makes the drone look so cool! Thanks and if I can figure out a way around this problem ill gladly share on here!

I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you :)

It took me almost 50 prints to figure it out.

And if not for sale I understand and I won’t bug you anymore and I’ll just abandon the project trying to make it

I'll see what I can do ...

So...would that file be for sale instead of murdering me? I wouldn't mind paying for your work

thanks I didn't know I could just turn the bottom sensors off! I appreciate the reply

Epic! I'd like to motorize the wheels in order to have it run further after it lands.

The idea was to have it run under my car but I never got to it.

Can I add your pics to the pics here ? I already did. Just let me know if you want them removed again.

Even without motorize as a landing platform its cool enough, pls go ahead and use the photos ;)

did anyone have problems decending after take off with these on?

Exact same problem I hope someone has a fix because these are bad a**

I wonder how did you manage wheels and tires, it is impossible to slide the tire in.
Should I cut the wheel and glue them back when the tire is in?
or should I slide the tire in before finish printing the wheel bigger upper diameter?
or did you print those tires with flex filament?

Just got done printing , and it's an awesome set up ,who cares if you can do a moving landing , But I would like to see the flick of you trying, Hate to see a disaster though , This set up gets the cam and gimbal off the ground , I'll all over it , Thanks

Dont care :D Looks just to cool :)
Making em!

what are these supposed to be used for? faster landings? I'm genuinely curious!

It grew from the idea of doing a shot where I fly underneath my car (working on that).

On top of that it works great as a landing platform.

Fly your drone underneath your car while it's moving? :O

That's the idea. Fingers crossed :)

two words: ground effects

I'm not gonna 'fly' underneath. The idea is to fly backwards in front of the car, put the Mavic down, drag it underneath with a rop or so while the car drives backwards as well and then fly away. Playing it all back reverse should give the impression you're flying underneath. We'll see :)

Has this happened yet? Did you run over the Mavic? ;P

Not yet. I was waiting for some decent weather (it has been raining here for weeks) and a cool location (wanted to to it on a small/private runway but they don't respond). I'll have to do it soon or the project will die.

heh well the wheels are cool. have fun!
