As an exercise to create the file I get it but you got to know that, from a practical standpoint, this is utterly pointless. There is ZERO chance of this lasting more than 5 milliseconds

I loosened the slipper clutch and it lasted for a few minutes. It at least gave me an idea of the speed I would get using a real metal gear. So in that regard it was useful to me.

The slash 4x4 uses module 0.8!?!?!

Did you model this yourself or use a gear maker? just curious, trying to figure out how to model different pitch pinions.

I started with a circle, drew one tooth, then did a circular pattern (Inventor feature) of the tooth around the gear axis hole. The rest was about measuring with a mm ruler and trial and error. There are pitch definitions and you could use them, but I personally found them difficult to apply. I instead scanned the original gear and zoomed in on the picture to get a really good look at it, and I got a better idea of the shape and dimensions, measuring the screen and using ratios.

I assume a harder material, (petg) would be more sutible?

Most definitely, although it may be more difficult to get the dimensions right due to expansion or shrinkage of the material. I don't have experience in that yet. You should look at my one Traxxas pinion and spur collection which has the 3d parts you can edit in AutoCAD if needed.

Would this work on the 4x4 Slash?

Not sure, sorry, check out some Traxxas forums.or Google. I think the 4x4 uses 32p gears. This is more like 48 pitch so you'd also need a 48p spur gear if you wanted to try. If you figure it out I can update the description. Happy hunting.
