i wish i saw this before i downloaded a model with your model inside of it, cut the model off of it in blender, and ultemently had to remodle the entire thing to get it to work. this would have saved me a lot of time LOL.

I've made a bunch of things now using this negative part. I usually scale it up by 2% to account for some material shrinkage. It does come out fairly ugly on the bottom printed right side up. I did some square heads upside down and it turned out perfect since it didn't need supports.

Trying to figure out how to build this into a class I'm teaching. I've imported the negative into our modelling program (3D studio), subtracted it out, everything seems fine. I guess my question is how do you print the heads? Is support needed?

Yeah, I usually print heads right side up with support. Just be careful when removing support that you don't damage the little notch that catches the pez spring tab. Also, rotate the head so that the direction of the support hatch is perpendicular to the candy pushing arm.

Very cool, I've never used OpenSCAD before and am not sure where to start. How do I tell it to input my .stl file to pezify?

Nevermind Tony, got it all working! Thanks so much for uploading this and the script!

Was working on the same thing and was actually printing my third iteration when I found this. Have to say it works great.

Also, thanks for the scad file. I may try tweaking some of the dimensions to try to get the negative a little smaller to fit in a small head.

Cool, the other thing I was thinking of doing was changing the shape a little and building in some built in support to remove the need to use skeinforge support.
