This is beautiful. Really amazing work!

Do you mind splitting the console into two parts, the base and the top? That'll be easy to print without support, while all in one piece it'll require tons of support.

Thank you very much!

It makes perfect sense to do that, and I have attempted versions like it. It's really hard to meet up the top of the console with the underside. It's sort of three sections, base, underside, top side. Also, it leaves some of the control panel sections a bit thin. I keep trying to get it right, but it's tricky.

Looking at it, I'd think that you could split the top side from the underside, and print the underside and the base as one print, flipped upside down, then print the top side, then glue them together.

What did you build this in? Do you mind sharing the editable files? I'm getting the urge to see what I could pack into the console. This could be FUN!

I've uploaded an editable file of the console, which you can access through Thinkercad. :) http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:201824http://www.thingiverse.com/thi...

TARDIS Console For Editing

I chopped into two pieces,

https://tinkercad.com/things/5E0vOR2iY3l-top-of-tardis-consolehttps://tinkercad.com/things/5... and

https://tinkercad.com/things/7GI5pREkKDJ-bottom-of-tardis-consolehttps://tinkercad.com/things/7...

Basically I just masked out either the top or bottom half by grouping with a cube "hole".

I didn't publish to Thingiverse, because I thought that would get confusing. But if you could attach the STLs to this Thing, I think people would like that.

I'm printing now. Fingers crossed!

To be honest, I thought I had uploaded editable .STLs. Feel a bit stupid now! :)

Really hope it works out for you! Very interested to see it.
