I was wondering if you would be willing to share the files for the outer rings, inner chamber and rotation chambers. I would like to replace the dual pegs with a single Rectangle peg that covers the same area. I believe the will give better adhesion and less likely to break than "pegs".

Sure, send me a message with your email and preferred file type :)

Electronics aside, how difficult would it be to add just blades to this design? Something like the already colored day blades from saberforge: https://saberforge.com/collections/saber-blades/products/copy-of-v4-infinity-edge-d-blade

I'm not sure, I haven't done it myself. If you have the blade or it's exact dimensions, I don't think it would be that difficult

The blades are 36 inches by 1 inch. I don't have any experience with 3D printing, but I really wanted this saber. I'm having a company called CraftCloud print the pieces for me. It is being done in MJF (Multi Jet Fusion?) Nylon. As I said, I'm not looking for electronics, just a way to attach and detach the blade. I'm fairly handy when it comes to modding things, but I like to get recommendations and ideas first!

If you're not modifying the 3D files and want to modify the physical print, then you'd need to assemble with glue and the drill out holes on either for the blades. That's obviously one large drill bit for 1 inch diameter blades

Is it possible to add leds/blades to this model?

It's not designed for any electronics, your have to hollow out the core in order to insert them

can you do fifth brother's lightsaber, seventh sister's lightsaber and eighth brother's lightsaber? im in into your design lightsaber design art

They're on my to do list

I think the model can be simplified a bit. As it is, unless I'm doing something very wrong, it doesn't seem to assemble. I see that the outer rotating chamber and inner rotating chamber are intended to be printed twice, identical. Also, I see that the emitter shroud's channels are to align with the red buttons. In that configuration, having a left/right outer ring doesn't actually work. See the attached picture.

If you took the left and right rings, specifically the outer rings, and basically merged them into one reversible version with short nubs and the short length on one side, then longer nubs and the long length on the other, you have 1 model you can print twice. The inner ring would need to be modified to fit as well.

If I knew anything about 3d modelling I'd attempt it, but I don't, so I submit it as feedback.

As soon as I sent that I realized it won't work because the rings would each connect to an inner chamber, so they wouldn't turn. We need a mirrored version of the inner and outer rotating chamber. I'll see if my slicer can do that.

It's been a while since I've thought of the assembly in this one so forgive me if I'm Rusty but does the files for the inner and outer rotating chambers not work in both ends flipped around?

Nope, they have to be mirrored. It's possible to do in the slicer...unfortunately I'd already assembled and glued so I'm gonna have to snap some pieces to fix them.

Ideally, there would be a mirrored version of the inner and outer rotating chamber.

Thanks, new files are uploaded and the description changed!

Wow love this..are you planning to.do the sisters? Would love to try it out for my gf!

I may get around to it, you are not the first to ask

Would love for the Death Mauls saber to be done, would happily Pay/Tip for it.

I may get around to it, especially since it seems derived from a similar saver to this, but I don't really do 3D work for money

Is one of the inner rotating chambers supposed to be mirrored, in order to fit the larger ring to it?
I printet to identical inner rotating chambers, but the holes should be on the same side, should they not?

I think the inner rotating chamber is the same on each side and the rings are mirrored.

Wow! I legitimately made an account on here JUST to congratulate here. Your lightsaber work is superior, superior to EVERY other. I was just wondering - Do you get some scans or models from Force FX? Because I must say - Your Darth Maul, Asajj Ventress, etc, etc. Are SO similar to force Fx. This is actually a good thing! :) I love your work. I do hope you could figure out a way to make a blade - But I have no problem buying a transparent one and then adding it to my saber. I am legitimately amazed at this! It'd be nice to have you make one that spins - as someone below said.... I heard this flips though - And I've yet to make this, but I'm planning on doing so tomorrow.

Thank you, I appreciate that.

I model all of the lightsabers from scratch myself primarily in SolidWorks or Rhino, using reference imagery I find online. So no scans or models from elsewhere. I just shoot for being as screen accurate as possible while preserving printability.

great models!!!
Hope you will make the Seventh Sister Lightsaber (from Rebels) someday :-)

Thanks! I may get around to the other inquisitors

Yeah! that would be great!!

that would be fantastic! Would love to do a seventh sister saber for my wife too. Even try to hollow it out and fit one of our electronic sabers into it.

That would be super cool, I'd love to see that. The joints would be fairly easy to redesign to be hollowed

Dude your models are crazy good! Thanks for all of them.

You should have a version that spins but doesn't flip XD This is awesome, just like all of the others.
