Very nice :-) Making one for my niece right now, but hanging Super Mario icons instead! Will post when it's finished.

A few comments:

  1. Would you be able to post a top-down image to show which branches go in which holes? I'm having some trouble seeing it from the photos. Actually, it would be a sweet addition to make the branches only fit in their specified holes - perhaps by making the ends certain shapes (hexagon, circle, square, etc).
  2. Fitting-up the branches seems really tight - the model would benefit from slightly looser tolerances. I assume super glue is recommended anyway. Presently looks like I'll either have to sand each branch to fit or reprint the trunk scaled up a bit.
  3. I don't need the pads on my printer, and it'd be nice to skip the additional printing and post-processing (and slightly gross cut marks) on the branch ends. Would it be possible to post models without pads?

Great model - thanks so much for sharing! Totally appreciate not having to design and balance it myself :-)

I second this suggestion! I think an image would be enough or even a description like the order from lowest to highest hole.

I printed the stump at 102% and the branches fit perfectly now. At 100% they were indeed, too tight.

My last suggestion. make couple of 1.75 (or 2mm) diameter holes about 3mm deep in the bottom (as printed) of the birds and the flowers (flowers may be tight). I can then insert a 6mm long piece of 1.75mm filament into the holes on one side and the opposite side will line up perfectly!

How do you remove the built in supports or disc things?
