This started out as a really simple remix of a remix of the HK X900 Tricopter Motor Mounts and Landing Gear for use with the US available 15.5mm Home Depot Square Towel Rack.
Picked up some new towel rack today from local HD... it measured 15.64mm so I went ahead and increased the STL & SCAD files to allow for the increase.
I did the remix for those not familiar with OpenSCAD, so they have the STL files.

It was shmorgan's remix and use of OpenSCAD that caught my attention.
The remix design from shmorgan was stronger and imho a much more pleasing design, however I do not have or use with HK's X900.

The original shmorgan legs are 60mm long, I use 120mm OPEN top. The open top design of the legs, while maybe not quite as strong, allows for easy replacement if broken without removing the motor mount. I've yet to break any of them yet.
Also added a 4th hole to the LONG 120mm leg.
I have included my modified versions of shmorgan's scad source code as well.
I have added a new H Quad center top platform with integrated battery strap mounts.
It will now allow for the ESC to be mounted inside of the housing, while allowing plenty of airflow for cooling.
This is the first release of the matching bottom platform
6-Dec-13: Added a simple 120mm leg with optional top cut out that is flush with the rails. The complex ones, may not be to everyones taste.
8-Dec-13: Remixed the Front & Rear Body Mounts into OpenSCAD. Now lighter & stronger. Optionally you can countersink or recess holes. Added front GoPro mount. Added selectable support for 28xx & 35xx Motor mounting holes.

24-Jan-2014 - v006 - Added a LED into the SIMPLE LED LEG. Also included the option in the source. If you print the SIMPLE LED LEG in translucent filament, you can insert an LED into the leg so that the entire leg lights. Looks rather cool if I do say so myself.
4-Feb-2014 - v007 - Added option for larger battery straps on the Center with both platform thickness of 5mm & 3mm. Cleaned up a little of the code. Uploaded v007 of OpenSCAD source.
