going to try design a 1988 silver nemesis era cyberman helmet and chest unit, got any tips on more natural rounded design and ideas on where to begin. what programs do you mainly use? I'm alright in fusion 360 and willing to learn other programs for this project
(loving your stormtrooper helmet, just put on my 2nd coat of filler primer)

thanks a lot, Jimmy, 15, New Zealand

Going to print this today.. For those that printed it, did you have to use supports?

In case anyone is wondering, I am printing it with supports as it didn't add much time. I did rotate a couple of pieces because that reduced the print time and supports needed.

where is this remix from?

It's called actually modelling something. You should try it sometime rather than taking other peoples models without credit.

RE: for those who give a crap why thingiverse needs reform:

Why are you mad dav88? because I called you out on an illegit remix?

What did you model?? I'm curious, besides rigging it what did you model? it pisses me off when people like you take others work for your own - and especially probably THE most popular print this year.

All I did was say you need to put a credit in because the makes you have using the baby groot technically shouldnt have been uploaded as the original didn't have a remix option.

I see you doing alot of uploading but stuff all actual making.

See these three makes of yours?

Well, technically you actually can't have them as makes. It's not about you giving credit, it's friggin about respecting him asking that you don't upload remixes. I would have remixed his baby groot 1000 ways from sunday IF he permitted it, but he doesn't, and I respected that.

The same goes to every single person on this website that took his baby groot and raped it in some way shape or form. It wasn't just you.

Why am I so pissed off when it's not even my model? Because it is EXACTLY what is wrong with thingiverse and the fact they can't and don't have a system in place to deal with their own T&C's

Now, the original:

See? No remix option. That doesn't mean you upload it anyway (in all 3 cases without a credit until I mentioned it)

And now that I did you're trolling me? eat a truck.

How do you put it on? The neck only appears to be 6 inches in diameter? Do you hinge it at the top or something?

dremel it to the size of your neck, or you could cut some more out before you print it. I don't have a thick neck, 6 inches actually gives me space still

Same question: How do you put it over your head? / How do you open/close it?

PS what is your head size?

This looks so nice! When I get my big printer up I'll post a make of it for my son. Thank you much.

hi there. is there any chance these files could be converted to stl? its locked because its a zip file.
many thanks :)

The full helmet is not locked, it is simply compressed to save your download time. It is a normal .Zip compressed with windows native zip, it has no password.

all you have to do is unzip the files use 7zip or something like that

For a second there i was curious how you got your model so glossy,,,,,then i looked closer and realized it was a render. Great work as always,

I'm gobsmacked as always!

Love your work/play/art!

Great as always!! Are you the famous Geoffro from thingiverse, i'm the guy from the Facebook group. What program you use for modeling!! Thanks!!
