i have a question:
Is the droneframe big enought to fit all the electric parts of the Phantom 3 into it?
Im currently searching for a phantom 3 conversion drone frame to print by myself.

sorry, i don't think this will fit for phantom...

Hey. How to print the details? There are a lot of details prevented from putting on the table smoothly. How much plastic will go to support ...

go to my others remix

Super bueno lo felicito

Great work, hope you can improve the efficiency on this design... It's great to know a talented Indonesian man...

u check out my other remix too... some improvements and modifies have been done there....

Foldable drone frame (Mavic look like, body & head alternative) Remix
by mwilmar

Love this project
One tip
neodynium magnets will probably intefer with the compass so you have to find another solution for locking arms

yes, i decide using spring mechanism on my last update...

I'm really a fan of this project. Just waiting for my 3d printer (ordered) to start experimenting too.

Just started putting it together. turns out PETG at 50% infill is not stong enough for the rear arm pivots. will see if i can find any carbon rod the right diameter and drill out the existing arms. failing that i'll give 100% infill a go

I uploaded it to Slic3r and it crashes (the bottom main part - .obj). In meshmixer it shows some errors. Please help. Can't really print it.

I get a similar result trying to open the .obj in slic3r (v1.2.9). though it seems to be an issue with every .obj I try to open in it. even after converting the obj to stl slic3r wasn't able to load it in any way that would be printable. Cura is often the answer I find with models that do this. It seems to have a more robust rendering engine at its core ( though I do much prefer the slic3r interface).

Try using cura slicer... It's fine on mine...

btw, i try slice it using Slic3r on repetier, and it's fine too...

Next, i will wire up this thing and fly it... :)

done uploading nu 3d with working lock mechanism... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfA0y7ZANno

looks great but how are you now getting the wires through on the back end?

at first i want to make a hole on the arm axiz trough the body, but that make the arm frail... because back arm must have strong axis so i can pull and lock in place...
so i think i will make a hole on the side of the body for it...

i will update soon after confirm my front arm lock mechanism...

lock mechanism still on testing progress, done with rear arm lock... now testing for the front arm lock...

congratulations,, my friend

fantastic idea

adding alternative head with 2D gimbal arm...

Last revision, thinner head shell to reduce weight at front...

@dopydingo sorry i forgot to upload it again after last update...

Love the design, but you havent included the bottom half of the design. Are you able to upload this please?

check it again...

By far the nicest Mavic frame clone I've seen so far. Just wondering if you plan to release the stl's of the main body parts before i get started printing and figuring out the electronics. I definitely want to get one of these in the air. fantastic work :)

cek it again...

Which motors are on that picture?
