As the USB charger on my Nexus had packed up...I thought I'd have to crack open the case. However, I printed out this delightful stand and with a bit of soldering my Nexus is now running as normal!! Many thanks!!! fb007 you are a saint!!!

Today I was thinking "maybe I can reuse my old nexus 7 2012 as an house automation center.. I remember that when it hitted the market there was a dock made by asus.. let me search the internet..." impossible to find anymore, or at insane prices (150 eur???)
And then I was "oh, let me search on thingiverse, maybe someone re-created it!" and ta-da!!

You man, you owe a beer :)

I just need to find the right pogo pin (the ones in the link you posted are not available anymore). I think the pogo pin lenght is really important, right?

thanks for your nice comment.

For the pogo pins: "P75-J1"

  • Diameter 1.02mm
  • total length 15.88mm (If they are minimal longer it should also work.)

On ebay there seems to be only 16.5 mm lenght pogo pins... I'll try with that :)
