how nice your toy is,
I thought you might be interested in my project, it's a lamp printer.
what do you say?
thanks bye

Printed well, other than the keychain hole, but that was just because I had some adhesion issues, so the error was on my end

is it me or there is a small error on the outer ring? it seems to not be centered correctly.... it is very difficult to turn...

I really like this one. Nice Form and great to print in place. I love this!
But due to a design error the outer ring does not spin as perfectly as the others. I will try my best to fix this ;-)

These are great! It's fun to hold one in the hand and just play around with the rings.
However this project only works well, if you have a precise and well calibrated 3D printer.

Love it, thank you! Just printed two in 100% size and one in 75% with woodlike PLA Filament. Looks awesome and smells nice. :D

Is it possible to write some text in the exterior face of the keychain with any programm?

Tip for newbies... This should be printed when it's lying flat on the build plate instead of standing up. Failed 3 times before realizing that the model should have been rotated. Wasted a lot of plastic. No support needed when its flat on the surface and it will print smooth.

I thought so and looked in the comments specifically for this info. Thanks!

Love this! Going to print out, but want kids (junior high) to attempt some sketches on their own first. Do you have any measurements I could go off of? What is the curvature on the inside and how did you extrude?

I absolutely love this. its brilliant. Id love to know how to make it. I am working in a primary school and have just bought our first 3d printer!

Very nice design, do you think it's possible to scale it down? 50% or 75%
Or would the rings fuse together

Should be fine at 75%, not sure about 50%.

Thanks! I can confirm: 50% is too small, the rings won't turn at all. 75% works perfectly.

Thanks Jamie for the reply but am complete novice and need more explicit info. if you have the time. Tried printing to printer but dialogue would only try to send inst. to a printing firm!! Checked and found PC could 'see' printer (was listed in devices) but could not find driver software on SD (no disc). Am I on the right path, i.e that I need a driver first?

I have never had your problem before so I believe you are on the right path but I'm not positive.
Is your printer working for other prints just not this specific one, or is it for every print.

Very new to 3D
Using a XYZ da Vinci Jn 1.0 - tried by copying file to machine SD card but printer only 'sees' built in 'sample'.
Obviously not right can u help?

Hey, i dont know if u are aware but you need to "slice" the STL file (what you get in here) in order to print it. The "slicer" is a program (there are some free neat ones such as cura, slic3r or repetier) that disects the STL file into a "g code" (a list of commands). that your printer follows. So a printer will not recognize an STL, you need a g code for it to work

try just printing it directly through usb cable
