After Printing and finalizing 6(5 kids and 1 Adult) shoulder armor of my previous design(See my other Design)... I ask myself how could i remove the need of post-printing process... and here the result :) ...
This is a great Last minute Halloween prop since once printed , pop it up from the bed and you're ready to go :)
I've Change the round pivot cover for a shield shape one... this enable me to print the complete design in one piece :). No more Glue!!!
I've also add 2 small hole on top of the outer plate to enable direct sewing or easily add a leather piece.
You could take a look at (http://www.thingiverse.com/Stonedge/designs) for my other medieval prop designs
Hope you would like it!
Tevo tarantula with large bed and flsun kossel
Printed at scale 60-65 % for my kid and 85% for myself
Scaled at 60% = internal distance between pivot of 145mm
Scaled at 65% = internal distance between pivot of 155mm
Look really great using silver filament... but since I've run out of silver, I printed it in black and honestly it's awesome!
Using a small screwdriver or long nose pliers, Remove pivot Support
Do the same with all other support triangle.
Free the pivot by hand or using a hood clamp like in the picture(work best but optional)
Free up all the armor plate.
Using a gold permanent marker, highlight details. (optional if printed in silver)
Enjoy and wear it with pride :)
