Glad you like it!

is there a fix for the hole in right paw ?

I tried to print this several times with different settings....everytime a fail.
At a certain point (about 2 or 3 cm in the print) my filament wont come out of the head, it seems that it is stuck. When i look at the filament it is no longer round but has marks from the filament gear that pushes the filament in. Before i can print again i have to remove the filament, cut it and insert it again before i can print an object.

When i print other objects i have no problems. I printed an other voronoi object without problems several times. (https://www.youmagine.com/designs/small-voronoi-teddy-bear)

what am i doing wrong ?

My settings:
Anycubic i3 Mega (Ultrabase)

Layer 0,2 (also tried 0,1)
Wall 0,8
infill 20
print temp 200
plate temp 60
printspeed 40 (also tried 50 and 30)
travelspeed 100
retraction 4 mm (Also tried 3 mm)
retraction 40mm/s (also tried 30mm/s)

looks to me as if the retraction is too much. or the temperature builds up, expands the filament right before the extruder and jams it.

I printed this twice. Both times it stopped exactly in the same print, printer said the print was finished. About 1/2" tall. Medium quality

What slicer do you use? Does the preview in the software looks OK?
Does your software has a preview or a option to simulate the print?

Great thing to make night lamp with it. Just print with transparent pla, add some soft flashing less and thats it!

Hi,

What should the layer hight be. Is 0.05 possible?

worked fine for me.

HEy do you use supports when you are printing these?

It looks like you don't need support to print the cat out.

The only bad thing is, that exactly 28 into slicing, my computer crashes. Every time! Using Slic3r. My computer isn't weak either. FX-6350 and GTX 560.

What version of Slic3r do you use? I just sliced it with Slic3r without any problems. Do you have enough RAM? 4gb should be OK.

Slic3r 0.9.9 and i do have 4GB RAM.

Just sliced the cat (LaserCat-_Voronoi_coarse.stl) with Slic3r 0.9.9 and 0.9.8 without any problem on a VM (xp with 3gb ram and single CPU).
The latest Version of Slic3r is 0.9.10b, have you tried it with this version, too?

beautiful. What program did you use for the voronoi?

you can actually do most of the voronoi operations in meshlab. I just learned how to do this myself. Meshlab is confusing as hell, but there are some tutiorials specifically around voronoi-izing things: http://meshlabstuff.blogspot.ca/2009/03/creating-voronoi-sphere.htmlhttp://meshlabstuff.blogspot.c...

Tried that a few month ago and Meshlab crashed a LOT during that time. Tried it with the Linux and the Win64 Version and had no luck.
I use Meshlab a lot to remash and repair and had no problem doing that.

I already covered that question here:

Sadly, there is no simple "Klick and go", but a lo of small steps to do.
