Hey. How can I get separate files for every part? I've broke the bolt, need to print the bolt only. Do you still have those files?

Hi there,
Uploaded all separated.

I like the idea but need some clarification please.

The slot in the "body" is that for the rear part of the tube to be put through before sticking it into the "key"? I would assume so as there is a better "squeezing" action there than if slotted directly into the key .

With which software did you do the design?

Excellent remix of the original. I was always concerned the thin base would snap with too much force from the tube and this is so much better!

First let me say I really like this part and how it should work. BUT...and there is always a but...how did you print this? I tried with support and with out support. Without support the two holes did not print correct and the handle failed with the tow horizontal pieces sticking out. With support on Cura turned on, it fill in the two holes, and the slot was printed almost solid.

How did you get around this?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Tim

I just successfully printed this without any supports. Maybe the file was updated between now and October. The only change that I made was I printed each part individually instead of at once.

Hi there.
When I was using MakerBot software I had the same issues. Its supports are printed the way You cannot remove them. May be it is supposed to be printed with dissolvable plastic on another extruder (PVA, Limonell dissolvables). But when printing with Simplify3D - its supports are easily removablel if printed from the platform and need a little push to remove from holes like in this model. Another software that You can customize and make supports removable/break - netfabb.
So I have printed from S3D and removed supports, fixed a bit with mini file tool.
