Gonna print it out, but good luck to both of you :D

It wasn't easy to get it to make sound properly.. I had to clear out the inside of the whistle part, and shave of layers above the rectangle hole so that it would vibrate the air properly.

I soldered all the parts together. I think having the whistle part attached in part 4 would be easier.

Here's a video of it in action: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151334052671601http://www.facebook.com/photo....

Printed on a Dimension uPrint as one piece and it works pretty well... just don't have the fingering down, but it does play! :)

It probably wont work because of all the "strings" that occur when somebody prints something.

I wonder who's will sound better, yours or mine?

It's difficult for me to believe any Ocarina would sound good. When I think of an instrument that doesn't have a vibrating member, I think of a whisle... and I can't really imagine a musical whistle sounding all that good.

Plus, I tried to keep the 4" max constraint so it would print on the makerbot. As a result, you probably need squirrel hands to actually play mine.

lol, same here. diameter on my new design is only 40 mm. I put 8 finger holes on the front of the first version and when i held it up to my mouth i felt like Tom Hanks eating the mini-corns in 'Big'
