which file should i use for the best results im confused. is it safe to print ur latest file as one part standing up without supports and same scale?

What you want to use, depends on what you mean with “best results”.

The 4 models whose name ends with ‘COMPLETE’ cannot be printed without supports, hence are more tricky to print.
The other 4 models can (in theory) be printed standing up as-is, depending on how good your printer's bed adhesion is. The disadvantage is that they have a flat rear end to avoid the need for supports. You can hide this flat surface by printing and glueing the separate end piece.

Within each of these two sets, there are four different models. There is no real difference in difficulty between them, which one you'll want to print depends on what style you like the most. Two have the round communications dish from episodes 3 to 6, the others a rectangular dish as in episode 7 and beyond (because Lando smashed the round dish in the sixth episode). Each dish style is available with the landing gear either extended or retracted, hence 2×2 = 4 variations in total.

The previews are sorted in the same order as the files.

You mean Millennium Falcon?

No, this really intentionally is called Fillenium Malcon and is not the same thing, even though it does happen to look a lot like it.

I just wish someone would "fix" that super annoying gap in the front between the 2 ends, drives me nuts since that should be a solid piece, not a front and back with a gap in the middle.

I could fix that, but the closer this model comes to a perfect representation of the real thing, the higher the risk that the company owning the intellectual property rights will have it taken down…

Confirmed to work well with Slic3r. Thank you so much!

Is it possible to print the landing gear separately? I ask because I am wondering how well the gear will print with supports and it is easier to print the gear and glue in place.

I you print it in the position as it is in the STL files, you don't need supports for the landing gear. There are no overhangs beyond 45° and the struts should bridge easily unless you would be printing this very large.
If you do want to print the gear separately, it should be fairly easy to cut one of the pieces from the model, and print it 4 times, then glue it to a print of the model without gear.

Thank you so much for your hard work on this.

I assume the back portion scales proportionate to the models that it fits on?

The back of the engine is missing because its standing on it...any way to fix that?

Check the latest update: I have completed the missing piece. Enjoy!

Yeah, that's a design decision from the original author… In theory it is possible to reconstruct the missing piece, but it will require quite a bit of work to make it fit perfectly to the existing model. If I ever have bucketloads of spare time, I might have a go at it, but don't get your hopes up too high.

the only thign that sucks is that the butt end is missing

Thank you, managed to almost fix orginal files but then I keept getting 5 layer skip in middle that was driving me insane.

Thanks, XYZWare was having a tough time rendering the original!
