I didn't noticed in the picture you use I noticed in the picture there are four large grips but in the diagram it shows only three so am I supposed to print out 4 or 3

I made this model from pictures in Wookiepedia (https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Mara_Jade%27s_first_lightsaber). If you want to match that model, then you'll need five Large and Small Grip pieces. I built it with five at first, but the saber was too long (IMHO) with that many pieces.

The diagram is to show you how the pieces stack together for assembly. Print as many Large and Small Grips pieces as you want depending on how long you want the saber to be. The pictured saber was made for an adult, so it's got four Large and Small Grip pieces to make it the length I thought was appropriate. I made another one for my nine year old daughter and only used three Grips each because it fit her hands better.

Please post a Make once you've got it done. I'd love to see it. Thanks.

This is awesome! I'm printing it!

Very nice! Can't wait to print this :)

Thanks. Met Timothy Zahn at DragonCon this past weekend and was inspired. :-)
