I printed this can handle and it is the best gift for anyone's dad. Literally printed 6 already. Really nice too, when printed correctly, and thanks, couldn't have done it better myself!!

I'm glad it worked well for you. The year I designed it, everyone in my family got one as a gift too.

the customize option is not working...

does this thing wobble or is everything fitting tight when printer to the right scale?

most others i have tried are very loose as it seems.

When printed correctly the handle acts like a spring to snap onto the rim of the can. That said, It takes a well calibrated printer to get the fit perfect. If your printer is off a mm or two it could be sloppy. If it's a bit sloppy, you can always simply adjust the can height with the customizer. You don't even need to print a whole handle to check the height. Just stop the print after the first few layers and hold it against a can. You should be able to see if any adjustment is needed for your printer.

Just weighing in to say I love Goombay Punch and this is made my day right on man

We love it too. We get it every time we visit the Bahamas.

This makes me want Goombay punch so bad. Are you in the U.S.? If so how do you get it?

Yeah, we're in the U.S., but this is from some we brought back with us. I don't think you can get in the U.S..

Nice simple print! Any chance for a tallboy version? :P Great work!

An eu can is 115.2mm tall. I am going to test it now on my Da Vinci Jr 1.0 and will report back about how it went :D

Update 1: Ooooh something went wrong on the customizer. I will try again with a height of 115mm instead.
Update 2: Ok it seems to be working, It has begun to print. I am at 20% infill at 0.3. The printer says it will take 3 hours.

Any chance you can export to iges. I can't get the STL to work right with lettering.
Thanks

Are you able to create another version that had the lettering raised, instead of inset to the handle? If i were more crafty with CAD, I would try...

That's a good idea. It wasn't that hard, I added it to the customizer. You'll now find a option for raised text. Make this yes and your text will be raised instead of sunk.

Totally Awesome!!!! Any ideas on a Remix for bottle?

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. It will be more complicated since they come in a wider range of shapes and sizes. I'll give it some thought though.

I have found that changing the size from(125) for standard 12oz cans to 160 for standard 16oz cans works just as well. Only thing is there is a small lip that hangs over the back of the handle...its out of the way, i can live with that!

So simple yet useful

Are you n the Bahamas? I am.

Unfortunately we just get to visit every few years. We love the Goombay punch though!
