Inspired by a Tweet from @PrintedSolid. A failed giant size Pikachu inspired the Pikachug.
My thought was, "Pikachu could still use a head". The tail is a great idea for a handle but the ears keep you from drinking out the top. Now, why not a stein. This will lift the head out of the way as needed.
I haven't printed this yet, but will when I get a chance to. I made a couple renders to show how the final product is supposed to work.
The hinge bolt is in 2 pieces. You'll need to put the female end through the hinge and glue the male end in place.
I'm not sure what the safest way to treat your print for food safety. Using ABS plastic you could make it water tight giving it an acetone vapor bath.
Alternatively, you can smooth the surface in what ever way you like. Then use a food safe silicone mold to make your final stein.
Using Blender, I took the Low-Poly Pikachu by FLOWALISTIK as my base model. I noticed the "faces" were facing the wrong way, so that needed to be fixed before starting.
First I duplicated the model.
I removed the vertices of the head of one model and all vertices below the neck of the other.
I needed to reshape the tail to work better as a handle so I moved it out and thinned it down a bit. It also needed to be attached to the body.
The hinge took the longest to figure out. After deciding where the best place for it, I needed to model the tip of the tail to work as a thumb handle and allow the lid to open up far enough to drink from.
