Magnets? You are a mad man :P I resized the pegs to fit snugly and then glued the two halves, worked out great. Just waiting for the rear engines to finish cooking before I post my make. Thanks for this "thing"!

as large as you scale and print it

what did you do to make the thrusters poseable? I saw that you put something silver on them....

magnets my friend.
heat m up,
push m in.
Do not wiggle.
the slightest wiggle creates space wich allows the magnet to pull each other out the plastic. superglue does wonders here.
Note. make sure you have a row of magnets, so the north-south pole is sequential, instead of opposing.
When you face two magnets with the same pole facing each other, they reppel each other.
With the first try, i used a knife tip to place the magnets. that was dumb, because i couldnt check the sequence of the magnets poles.

Do you know what size/type magnets you used? I tried a few different ones and nothing has been strong enough to keep the engines from falling off.

no, i once bulk bought over ten thousand small magnets for other purposes. they fitted and they were strong enough.i sell a set of 8pcs on a dutch shop for €0.50 ; https://3d-printersvdb.be/shop/3d-kit-projects/raza-magnets/

That is pure genius!!

I was just wondering what is involved in making the model water tight. Do you use an automatic bit of software, or are you going in and doing all the fixes yourself?

@ tab "thing details", i wrote; "made manifold (watertight) with https://netfabb.azurewebsites.net/"
Its an automatic service. login, upload, it gets repaired, click to download repaired manifold model. it does have a model size limit.

I noticed that on SyFy's version. Thanks!
