Hi!
I really love the idea and design of the fenders.
Could you say something about the durability during summer and especially in winter? Do they get brittle when it is too cold?

Well, it greatly depends on the type of plastic and the infill you use. Mine haven't broken inside the pieces, but the connections between them have - that's my fault though as I didn't glue them and only friction-welded on one side.

It's not going to be as durable as a solid single injection molded piece, or a metal one. And winter temperatures will make it worse. But I'd say it does a pretty decent job!

I love your mudguard. I was thinking to make a similar projet for a "Dahon classic III" folding bike but I'm a beginner an my "know how" is not so advanced like your. That bike has a special designed mudguard for a 16" wheel. You can find a lot of images about that Dahon model. Do you think is possible to make a mudguard like that? Thanks.

Thanks! But I'm quite busy at the moment, so I'm afraid I won't be able to see if I can modify the original model for you...

Very cool Design! Do you have also a stl file of the clip which srews the mounting spoke to the saddle stay? My bike frame has no mounting wholes on both stays. Thanks!

Wow, that's really cool. I had thought about doing something like this but really wasn't sure how to approach it. Looks like you figured it out pretty well. Good instructions, as well. Looking forward to trying this out, thank you!

Thanks! Please be advised that in this setup, the PLA actually wasn't stiff enough to arch the entire distance between the supports on the back mudguard, so it rests lightly on my tyre. Not a big issue, but if I had to do it again, I'd make an extra support beam midway.

Good to know, thanks. It's a tough thing to model and get good results, but yours look really good. When I get a chance to try it, no doubt I'll have feedback.

Hi I love the idea but would it feasible for you to scale the model for a 700x32cc tire?

I could try, I'm not sure if the model will explode if I do. Im guessing with such wide tyres you also have a different diameter. What's the outer diameter of your tyre?

I measured the width of the tires as 30mm and the diameter as 69.85cm from edge of tire to edge of tire. Are there any other dimesions you would need?

I'll give it a try!
