This jig will hold a #2 pencil on your build platform. This is handy to hold a pencil in place so you can easily write on it with your Thing-O-Matic.
Write whatever you desire out of InkScape onto your pencil.
Check out the video of my ToM in action.
I printed mine centered on the platform and then didn't remove it - but I did put some ears on there to make it easy to tape back down with Kapton Tape or Acetone again in the future.
1) Print the Jig
2) Insert #2 pencil
3) Layout text & graphics in Inkscape *
4) Plot/Engrave **
- Choose a nice font keeping in mind the thickness of a Sharpie point. Select Font and convert it to a path. Save as G-code with a modified version of the Unicorn code. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16424
** You'll need a pen holder to accomplish this as well - use the MK7 spacer replacement one http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:15788, a unicorn, or the one in this picture. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16901
