Using similar mechanics to the Rubik's pie, this 2x2 style cube is limited on one of it's pivot points. This limitation gives the cube that type of challenge filled feel found in traditional cubes.
To successfully assemble this cube, you need to print 8 cubies, 2 core ones, and 2 core twos. I used super glue to hold the parts together, and has worked successfully so far. Only slight filing was needed to be done to the cores to allow for smooth motion.
Once all the cores have been filed, glue the core twos to each other, and the core ones to each other. Make sure that the tops are the only part that is glued.
Next, insert the holding pin into the core twos' hole. DO NOT GLUE.
Slip the cubies on the core two and core one assembly, Then glue the tab from the the holding pin into the core one assembly. Let dry.
