Wonderful file and printed no problem, though Cura underestimated the print run by a long shot (23 hours rather than 16 as it stated). Next time will scale up enough to fit me as this was a test

These are great! My gf needs shoulder armor like this for a costume she's putting together. I was wondering, though, if it'd be possible to upload the three pieces separately as well? We only need two of the three pieces for her suit. If you could do that, I'd be very grateful!

If you download or use Repetier Host or Meshmixer, you can split a multi bodied stl file into its individual solids. You can then delete what you don't want and exit out separately.

I just recently started using Meshmixer, so I'll try that. Thanks!

This is the best thing we have printed so far! Worked great and we will be playing with the scale to make more and possibly use them onstage for one of our shows.

Thanks again!

1k Thanks!, i was looking at modding that birdhouse myself, but you made a waaay better job than i ever coud!

Hi there,

I just printed one. The biggest one moved pretty easily, but i couldn't separate the inner two and resulted
in broking the smallest one down(i separated the layers, but the ). Got any tips what i did wrong?
Next time, should i just drill the whole thing through?

I would suggest you are maybe over extruding or the printer is not properly calibrated. There is 0.5mm clearance in the CAD model between all close fitting surfaces.

AWESOME!!! Swapping colors and printing now (after proper scaling)...will post a made one asap!

6+ starts and 9.5 hours into printing...almost 90% complete! I added "helper discs" to keep the parts on the bed, my first print that was going well started to peel quite a bit on the left side. I will upload a "remix" with the helper discs added to the .stl. Posting pics soon, still have another hour or two printing.

While you are taking requests :-)
I'd love to see a roll down helmet/mask version of this. Not sure if it is doable on standard
8x8 print beds but it would be a worth while addition to the "costume" category.

You are the second person to request such a thing. You can get quite a large print nested in this way across the diagonals of an 8x8 bed so I think it would fit on. I'll look into it when I get time.
