This modified blower will be handy for those who have added an inductive sensor to their BQ Prusa i3.
I found another one that did not allow the lower nut to be inserted, I've corrected the problem by making the place where the sensor goes a little bit narrower.
I'd recommend to print this part in ABS as it lies very near the hotend, nevertheless I've used PLA and everything is OK.
I bought my sensor from Amazon : 3 wire Noncontact Inductive Proximity LJ12A3-4-Z
You should disconnect the Z Endstop and instead plug your sensor the following way:
- Brown: VCC (12V)
- Blue: GND
- Black: (Signal) With a diode like a 1N4148/1N4140, plug the cathode of the diode to the black wire and the anode to the processor input.
If you plug it this way you won't need a voltage divider and regulator some people suggest, it's easier and it works great.
As for the firmware, you should uncomment ENABLE_AUTO_BED_LEVELING on Configuration.h and change the settings to match your setup.
