Genius! printing one now after this print finishes xD
EDIT: 11 hours nvm.

how can i remove the holes on the front?

how do i open scad files with fusion 360

I don't believe that is possible. If you download OpenSCAD you can open and edit the parts yourself. The part is built in such a way that it is fairly easy to modify yourself.

Does this work for a "standard ATX" sized case?
Thanks!

Yes! You can also adjust the part dimensions as you require.

That's just freaking brilliant .....

What an absolutely brilliant idea. Just ordered my first 3D printer, and I think this will be one of the first 'things' I print, after calibration and test objects. I shall go for a deeper drawer, to store a few more items. Kudos.

Thank you and best of luck with your new printer. You will not regret buying one!

I had to redesign the tray because it looks like it has 1mm walls. With my 0.4mm nozzle, i'd get 2 outlines with a 0.2mm gap which is quite weak. Changed to 1.2mm and really happy with the result. Thanks for the idea.

All good. It is really tough to know which dimensions will work best as there are so many printer options. That's why I like to design things using OpenSCAD so that people can easily make changes to meet their specific needs.

one suggestion/ request, instead of having a tab or handle could you add a dip in the drawer. so the top edge has a dip in it so you can pull it out easily, I don't like the idea of having handles sticking out for fear that they snap off. like this kinda of....--->>>( |-----____/-----|)

Thanks for your suggestion. I've added a new option that adds a hole on the front face of the drawer. This way you can open the drawer without needing a handle.

I agree, the handle is too big and makes our case look crap.

Something a bit more subtle would be better.

Brilliant, thank you for adding this. Will definitely be printing this in the next few days, I really like the design.

How have you mounted yours? The screw holes aren't seeming to line up. Even if they did, the screws would go in too far for the drawer to slide in and out. I'll figure something out, but curious what you did.

Thanks, I love it! I'll add pics of my make once I get it mounted.

Thanks! Right now I have mine mounted with a friction/ sliding fit. Mine fits fairly well without needing any fasteners. My plan is now that I have this mounted I can make some better measurements for the mounting holes. I was guessing at the mounting hole locations before.

Okay cool, mine slides in and out super easy, you couldn't even slide the drawer out without the whole thing sliding out. I figured I'd ask what you had come up with before I go working something out. You can't even tell it's a drawer, I printed it with no handle. I'm going to create a magnetic knob to secretly open the drawer.

Thanks

Hmmm I really like this idea but I was wondering if you could maybe add the front face pattern option to the back face and PC mount parts in the customizer so we could still have some airflow trough it?

It can be done. I don't see any benefit to the airflow in your case in doing this however

Well my CPU cooler atm can pull in some nice fresh air in the front of my case where the bay would be installed so if possible I wouldn't like to limit that airflow more than needed.

RIP for people who own the NZXT H440... But looks great anyway! :p

Love the idea. Great for thumb drives, screws, or junk. lol

Thanks! It's better to make use of those bays rather than have something useless like a floppy drive!

Now the same argument almost applies to CD drives as well. I only remember using it twice in the last few years. Last time was watching a DVD cause the main tv was in use.

In the future Ill make one of these to store my flash drives & bluetooth adapters.

Oh and thanks for supplying the source file. Love it when people do that. It allows me to tweak dimensions as needed.

No problem. I think that providing source files is the only way to make 3D printing more accessible. No two printers are alike and being able to modify part dimensions makes these designs more useful for everyone.

Genius?! I've never thought about this before really, what is wrong with me? lol
Would it be possible to add to the customizer a no, knob, tab or anything on the drawer? I have a knob of my own I'd like to use.
Thanks

Absolutely, I'll add a no-knob option.

Thanks, going to make one soon, perfect!!!
BTW, my desktop computer is the same tower as yours!!! It's a great case, the only thing I hate is that the hard drive bays aren't facing outward when the side of the case is off. I couldn't believe the hard drive bays weren't turned when I got the case. :(

Done, there is now a no tab/ handle option. Enjoy!

The Antec 300 is a great case, you are right the hard-drive orientation isn't the best. My graphics card is also a little too big for my case. Oh well!

Can u please make a version with a longer tray with no tab/ handle
it is a waste for the draw be so short.

If you use the Customizer App you can adjust all the dimensions yourself. I've also included a number of different handle options that you can choose from.

Thanks, haha, my graphics card also had a hard time. I had to trim a corner of the fan shroud on the graphics card to get it to fit. LOL.

That would be pretty nice for raspberry pi stuff. Thanks!

could you make one with a smaller handle so it can fit in a case with a door :)

You can change all the dimensions yourself :). Use the customize button to change the handle to meet your needs.

Thanks for got to check that.
