Rubber Band Gun remix

Didnt work for me.
Trigger would not retract far enough.
Rubber band would not slip over the back.
Trigger groove for the band is too shallow so hardly any rubber band can fit inside without slipping over.

Better be with a simple spring mechanism inside instead of a rubber band inside which will require constant disassembly.
Also design its self uses a TON of supports. Not good.
remove supports and print alignment pins separately from the rest of the model. It will come out cleaner.

I’m not sure what you did but I am pretty sure you did it wrong. Every part of the print prints flat on the bed with NO supports needed.

The first gun I printed several years ago now and gets played with a few times a week(cats love chasing the fired bands) is still operating flawlessly.

There are over 20 recorded makes and none of those had any issues.

It would be super cool if you could remove the slide and put new ones on, so you could pre-load multiple slides with rubber bands already loaded. You could have a bandolier of pre-loaded slides.

Interesting idea and very possible to do I might look at a way to do this.

Since publishing my Toy M4 Carbine https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2370157 there has been huge interest in this rubber band gun. when I remixed this I only had a build volume of 150cubed.

I now have a build volume of x250 y210 z210 so I think it is time I remixed this design BIGGER and BETTER! I'm thinking longer barrel for more stretch and greater range, LARGER ammo capacity may 6-8 shots.

Awesome. Printed like a dream. My machine is under-extruding a bit since the parts are not a strong "snap" together but this remix is awesome. Thanks!

Could someone please remix this to have more splines at the back to increase the rubber band capacity? 6 or more would be perfect. Thanks

I will modify the original for a larger ammo capacity soon.

It lacks a hole on the front left part of the pistol. Other than that, works great

slic3r doesn't appear to slice the left part properly as the hole is not created.

I don't know what to say, works fine in Simplify3D and AFAIK all the parts are manifold

I just sliced it with Slic3r and it worked fine using files downloaded from this page

Thanks, Simplify3D works fine.
