Layer / part fan mount and duct for your Ultibots K250 BSE (and likely other derivatives).
I couldnt find a fan duct and mount solution that worked for me. Common issues were: restricted XY travel limits, poor performance, or just plain flimsy. Whats an engineer do in that situation? He designs his own. Mine is by no means perfect. I know there are issues with the angles but if printed in PC it wont get soft and will stay rigid.
Designed for a standard 5015 centrifugal fan to mount to the Ultibots mag ball efector. I recommend printing in polycarbonate for the temperature resistance. If you print in something else put some kapton between heater block and duct for insulation.
I uploaded the native Creo .prt so feel free to modify to your needs. I also included a STEP and STL. Walls on the duct (k250_annularfan & k250_annularfan_cs1.stl) are 0.5mm thick, print with a 0.5mm nozzle. I suggest keeping those equal to ensure you get a good single wall so modify CAD to your nozzle size or get a 0.5mm nozzle. I do not plan to make any updates at this time.
07/04/16 UPDATE: Found issue with "5015_franbracket_final.stl", deleted old one and uploaded new unbroken faceted model.
0.1mm for duct 0.2mm for mounts
Best with polycarbonate for temperature resistance. M3 Hardware.
The duct is way longer than required, just trim off a little at a time until you get the fitment about the nozzle perfect. As mentioned earlier, there is an issue with the angle at which the mount holds the fan so you will need to make up for this with the adjustment of the duct. Once you have it perfectly centered and level wick in a little tire glue / CA on 1 to 2 sides to hold in place.
