This works great. Thanks!

This is wonderful. I actually just finished designing these https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2757455 , and was planning on making them more compact. Your design is great, and I may just modify mine to be similar. One of my big concerns was possible damage/marking on our doors because we lease. So I put provisions to have the threaded shafts pass through for extra support, that way if my kid ever really hangs on it there's less chance of the stopper being forced to rotate and making a circular gouge in the door. Awesome though!

Lever Door Knob Small Child Safety Stopper

Our doorknobs (and presumably others) have small spikes sticking out of the flange to prevent the doorknob itself from moving (they can move horizontally along the shaft of the latch). They stick into these surrounds and prevents them from spinning. We've had them up for a year and a half of hanging, slamming, and all around toddlering and they haven't slipped yet. Adding in some mechanism to attach to the screws/posts would be much sturdier though.

I was actually going to make a design similar to yours when my tall toddler got tall enough to push up on the handle, but when he got that tall he also got a little more restraint and we just didn't need it. Nice design though, much simpler than what I had in mind and great for tall toddlers! If toddler #2 is more problematic I'll be printing yours off rather than hitting the drawing board.

printed it today. works great. Guess I didn't really notice, but i had to take the handle off to assemble it. Great model.

Ha! Added that to the description!

Clever solution - nice job!
