On thing about the wonderful line of Dyson DC vacuums is that nothing fits their hoses or brushes except their own parts. They are ingenious, but sometimes you'd like to use that one shop vac accessory, and can't. This adaptor will let you attach those 1-1/4 inch accessories to many of the Dyson accessories.
This adapter was made from measurement of the attachments that came with, or were bought for, our Dyson DC39 vacuum. The tolerances on the Dyson fittings are fairly liberal, so it took two takes to get something that would fit everything.
I would print this at 100% size (I've allowed for 2% shrinkage), and with the bottom down on a raft. Infill of 100%, 3 shells, and no support (there is a slight overhang, but no support is needed). Extruder temp is 240C, and the build plate is set to 115C (remember that temp readings are relative - use what works for you). I find that 240C for the extruder with ABS causes the ABS to fuse together very well. The resulting thing can take a lot of punishment. I tried squeezing it to break the thinnest part, and it would not bend or crack.
Using SimLab Composer 2014 I can convert the original SolidWorks file to several other formats, but I cannot guarantee that they will be usable. The SLDPRT and STL files are the only ones I know work.
