Did anyone print this out? how did it go?

Hello i think it looks great. is it possible to get hold of the howl hull from you. oim mainly intrressted to mill out wood models.
either the hull or the hull splitt in the midle along the ship :) i would be truely happy if this was possible.

Are the four hull pieces identical except for rotation?

This looks great. I was wondering how this would look with 25mm miniatures?

This is a great design, you should test and print out different versions until it is the best it can be. You should then sell it on Shapeways https://www.shapeways.com/ . You deserve something for this model.

Ok, I guess I'll be the first to print it :)
Almost finishing it. So far, I can tell that the proue halfs are too thin. I'd make them thicker. Specially in the top end. My printer even failed filling it.

I tried slicing it with cura 15.04 you should use at least 0.1 (best 0.05) and it looks like it slices ok, but I will make a tjicker version anyways

Yes it's possible to slice but even so I think it could be thicker.
Also the shields. They are too thin too. I'd double the thickness. No matter how careful I was I could not remove any of the 32 shields without breaking. Although it added a really cool effect of used in battle and I'll keep it that way =) I have only one more print to test all the things. I'll update you tomorrow on how it goes.

I have a trick to remove thin objects from the bed, just put it under running cold water when still warm, you will be able to remove the prints very easily, even very thin and small parts, without damaging them.

I will have a look and make a thicker version tomorrow.

I really want to sink this boat in my aquarium... But both my slicers (Flashprint and Simplify3D) are having problems with the files. Which software do you use for these files?

Cura, what parts seems to be problematic ? All of them ? I will check it tomorrow.

I found out I uploaded the obj files, I will upload the repaired stl files tomorrow.

I was about to write you back. But thank you very much!

Fixed it ! I think it will work now.

In the summer I am away every week end to take part in viking camps :), Now I'm at work but I will make the modification this evening, I will reply here when it's done, no problem :)

Wow, that sounds really cool! The files seems to work fine now, thank you very much! I'll post the "made" as soon as it's done and update it on the painting and the final result on my aquarium.
