What are you using for your motors? Windshield wiper motors? Something else?

Hi, I used razor scooter motors for mine. Note this was for version 2. Version 1 was just a static. Link to the latest files is via my Patreon page, all files shared through a OneDrive share and available openly and freely in the spirit of the R2 builders club.

Thanks, I was looking at the razor scooter motors myself. Did you buy/find the scooters or just buy the motors? I tried to just buy the motors but they want a UPC code. I tried to grab one from Walmart but either I didn't get the right code or I looked at the wrong box.

Got them from eBay, e100 chain motors.

Hello. Is there a photo of how the footA frame should look when its done. I'm new to building R2 and I want to do it right the first time. Or is there a photo of the inside to help figure out ware parts go?

Excellent. Any idea when those new foot shells will be done (just curious)?

Do you have the inner dimensions of these? Will these shells work in conjunction with the foot drives that you'll be releasing publicly soon?

I'm redesigning the skins to fit the new drives. Technically these will fit the new drives (inner space) however the fixings and getting them over the motor would be a challenge, possible, but challenging. New designs will screw onto the new drive.

hi! how much infill do you recommend for these parts ?
thanks for the incredible job?
you are an artist!!

Hiya, I did around 15 or 20% infill for virtually all parts except some of the heavy load bearing frame sections where I did 50+

Great Build! But how i can print the center foot?

http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1608106 It's on the lift leg files, just print the foot and ankle.

great!! many thx

The centre foot files are on the old centre leg lift mechanism. Just print out the centre leg and foot. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1608106

Never mind. :) got it figured out

i'm printing this shell and found that there are a couple of pieces missing. The front and back pieces with the corners aren't in the files.

Any chance you have the complete foot in an STL file?

Hiya. all my original designs are also shared, there's a link in the Dome description to the 123d design files. From this you can cut / slice or create as you need (123D design is free to download and fairly easy to use). Hope this helps.

Pls you can to help me? I don´t know to built the battery box I have printed the piezes but i don´t know to glue this

I am in the process of printing one of these foot shells. Can you please explain how you are securing your foot motor holder to the shell itself?

Hi, there's space for 4 captive nuts on the top of the shell (need futtung during assembly), this gives 4 bolt holes for a frame. additionally the battery box has open space to give as much room as poss for any drive system. The plan is to create options for motor frames (and caster frames or printed wheels) which bolt to the top of the foot with the captive nuts. I'm close to designing one for mine but I wanted to give options as people may use different motors etc.

Do you know if these foot motor covers will work in conjunction with with the 'A&A foot motor holders'?

I've designed them for a fully 3D printed R2, so not sure on compatibility with the club spec / other designs. The outer dimensions and accuracy I'm confident with but internal fitting and compatibility has not been tested or designed for club spec. That said, I've left as much space free and added the fixing to allow fitting or modification of other foot frames where possible.

Is this to the R2 Builders specs? If so, is the CSL or CSR? I would love to print these and they look exceptional.

Hi, I've used CSR blueprints for all the dimensions, they're not club spec from a build perspective (holes / screws may not match and assembly is different) but accuracy should match full club spec as the build and parts all fit together.

Hello, this is only the cover ? i don't see the mechanical parts: motor and wheels holders etc.

Hi, still work in progress, this is the skin with the frame for a 2-3-2 conversion and appropriate holes etc for cables. The Motor, drive, wheels and frame I'm making modular so it can accomodate both castors, motorised and static. there's 4 4mm bolts in the corner to add whichever frame is needed.
