I just printed this, but now that I see how it fits I am not sure it if will work. My Batch 1 bot has 3mm plywood for the X and Y.

Does it need a snug fit around the front of the plywood to hold it in place?

Same comment as JadeKnight - had to do a little bit of trimming but otherwise a very nice Thing!

Sweet! I'm glad it helped!

The current 'nut' design was too wide to fit on my bot.

After printing, I had to cut some material off the sides of 'nut' part to make it fit in the gap around the pulley. You can see it in the picture.

Other than that, it works quite nicely.

Excellent! I'm glad it worked! I designed it based upon my Batch 9 bot, #465. It looks like you've got a Batch 10 or higher, based upon the pre-fab/non-printed pulley.
Perhaps the versions difference is the reason why yours needed a little trimming?

I think that's exactly it. From the batch 10+ X-stage assembly page at the wiki, it looks like the recent X Cap pieces reach all the way down to the top piece of the X stage and the previous ones did not. The seem to be similar height but the new ones have the bolt holes higher up on the part.
