The spring may need to be massaged to make it fit over the sharpie better. All of the springs in the kit were a bit too small to fit over the sharpie but you can bend one with a little bit of effort.
It is a good idea to sand down the ridges in the insert to enable it ride smoother inside the base. I also added a bit of lithium grease to lubricate it.
Place the spring over the Sharpie and Insert Sharpie into the insert and tighten the 3mm screws very lightly, just enough to hold the pen in place. Tighten too much and the insert will not be able to move freely within the base.
Either glue on the top or use some 2mm screws to fasten it.
Attach to the new tool mount and have fun drawing with your MPCNC. You want the sharpie to touch the surface with enough depth to force the spring tension to push down on the sharpie marker or ink pen.
