Try this Laser Plane Generator.(I use them in my multi-touch computer)

They should make it so you'd only need to use one laser.

How would you do that?

If I understand correctly, all that lens does is turn the projected dot into a line, which defines a perfect plane defined by the line and the beam's path.

I can imagine using that to level a platform by projecting the beam horizontally, then using it as a reference to align the platform to it. B
ut to do that, you would need to mount the laser at

the intended platform height, and then to project the laser at perfectly horizontal angle with respect to the machine's frame, and if you can do that, you probably can align the platform by the same method!

fun
,good article。i found a website of lasers . http://www.sothiclasers.comwww.sothiclasers.com 500mW 445nm blue laser Module ..

Excellent part! We use small lasers for lots of jigs and alignment tests. This will definitely come in handy!

Feel free to submit fotos of one such setup when you have one! Sounds like they would be fun to see. :-)
