This is a simple holder frame for a 4x6 photo print. It is meant to sit on a surface like a desk or shelf. I tried to make it a little more visually pleasing than just a straight cross shape.
I made this model in Onshape, a cloud-based 3D CAD application that is really feature packed and easy to use.
And, oh yes the picture is real not photoshop. The cat's name is Frankie.
This thing was inspired by Burbbafett's 6x4 photo holder:
I added IGES and Solidworks files so people could remix it more easily.
Maker Select IIIP (Wanhao I3 rebranded)
This is just how I printed mine, YMMV.
I used eSun PLA Pro purple (my wife's favorite color) at 215 deg C and a bed temp of 60deg C on a glass bed.
I used Simplify3D as a slicer.
I did have some trouble with the top of the model not being totally solid. I believe it has to do with my slicer settings but I'm not sure. I'm going to print a few more and try some different settings.
