Hey do you know where this design of x axis end comes from? I have the same one. with the same flaws but for the life of me can't find where the kit maker got it from. So I don't know the search terms to fix it because it's not a normal i3 rework design

interesting !
do you know if a similar design is possible for Geeetech i3x ?

Thank You. This solved a design flaw in the i3 kit that I purchased. Makes the Z axis movement a lot smoother.

This solved my no Z axis movement during printing. Thanks, this saved me from wanting to toss my printer out a window.

hehe, good! I am glad it saved your printer from flying :-)

Great design ffleurey, i hade the same problem you experienced, when i increased the tension the two z rods deformed just a little and that turned into a z wobble problem since che distance between the smooth and threaded bars wasn't consistent.

This simple piece moves the force generated by the belt from the z-axis vertical bars to the x-horizontal bars, basically the left x-end will be pulled by the belt but at the same time will be pushed with the same force by the x-bars, almost neutralizing the effect.
I rly think something like this should be in the default prusa design, great job!

This is very interesting!
Did it improve the quality of your printer?

Yes, I believe it did improve my prints because it allows to have more (or more consistent) tension on the X belt. Before this upgrade I was affraid to put too much tension on the belt because the Z rods were deforming. Difficult to tell how visible the improvements are but now the x belt tension can be adjusted without side effects :-)
