This looks so neat. Putting it on my "to make" list. Thanks for sharing!

Many thanks for your kind words!

Excellent thing! I'd recommend adding a crank to smooth out the motion, but (due to my admittedly meager skills and the fact that I'm at work and screwing around) I can't think where I'd put it. Don't get me wrong, this is very cool as is and I'll certainly be printing one myself.

I will not continue anything on this design. Seems people find it simply to boring.
Better to make battle cruisers blasting aliens out of the sky next time :D

Printed mine at %75. Turned out great! Tried to make a video for anyone that wants to see it in action.

Great video! I failed to get this focused with my equipment.
Many thanks for doing the work to make a video and share!
I will add you as successful replication in the main description.

Nice work getting Featured.......disregard the d-bags complaining about a missing video......as usual, the complainers contribute nothing to this site.

Nice design! You could add small turbine blades around the circumference so the user could just blow to rotate it :)

Can I print the three disks in alternating colors? Example: white green white for disk 1 disk 2 and disk 3. I was just wondering if it would still function without three colors.

Good question. I will check this out in some hours and let you know.
I have to finish another build first but seems it is almost done.

I tried now white/orange/white since it only required to print back side in white. The result is not good. The figure is blured because of the lost contrast. Let me know if you need a picture.

Have you tried orange white orange? I don't have three colors so I'm trying to improvise.

The disc holder is a perfect fit for CDs and DVDs. While this would seem to be a strange use, you can use it to repurpose old CDs into outdoor ornamental light reflectors. See my posting and pictures under 'I Made One.'

THANKS for the excellent design. I'm going to print out a half dozen of the disc holder portion of this item.

I suggest you consider posting just the disc holder (plus spacer and clip). I think a lot of folks would be interested in this application .

Where is the video?

Now where would be the fun if i would do this?
Only the one who prints it will have the experience.

In other words it really isn't that cool so there is no video showing how boring the result is. Seriously that is what most people will interpret by there being no video. Thanks to a lack of a video you will get a tiny fraction of the people who would have likely printed this had there be a video. Count myself as one of the people who won't even consider wasting my time and effort without a video.

I'm sorry but real reason is simply the missing focus.
My camera seems not to be able to get a sharp picture and
always tries to catch the backside instead.
I know the result is people will not give a like or print it, but what
should i do? I can only say "i'm sorry"

Do not ever feel the need to "apologize" to people like this clown, johann517. You actually contribute to this web site and had it Featured, the complainer hasn't contributed a thing but his whining.

Thanks for your advice ukcat! It's just i realized that a video would have helped which makes me angry.
I think i will design something now to express my feelings.
