Very cool. The lid only goes on one way though, could have had 3 more notches so it would fit in each direction.

Yes, that's true. Originally I keyed the lid so the lid would line up perfectly every time, but now that you mention it I could have keyed it on all 4 sides. Thanks for the make, BTW!

I would do a liner of some sort of liner, or even a plastic container that could fit in it. I printed a nice geometric planter that I would have sworn was water tight. It held water, but at the corners it was leaking a little water. I was very surprised. The planter had 2 thick walls with infill between the 2, it seemed to be very tight, but it leaked in less than a week.

Well shoot... I was afraid it would be something like that. I like your ideas of a liner or inner container.

Even worse, I just was watering my flowers and the same planter I was talking about has seeped brown dirt water in between the layers. There is a line of brown where it looks as if it seeped between some of the layers. My planter plastic pot holder has a quarter inch of water in it that has leaked through the planter. I can't believe how much it has leaked, I would have bet that it was water tight. Some of that rubber spray coating on the inside would be good if you wanted an actual liner, or maybe some thick clear coat spray?

I need to look into whether India ink has any kind of reactions with different coatings. If not I think I'll try clear acrylic spray. That's too bad about your planter! Are your flowers still healthy and happy?
