Hi Boogie!

I love this mount! Thanks for making it, but how do I modify it to fit a larger motor?? Please help!

Anthony

Well I think you can fix the over heating thing if there is any .

All you got to do is to make some extra holes on the case not many 2-3

and solder or weld a piece of aluminium sheet on the motors through those holes .The aluminium sheet will work as a heat sink.

And still you will be fine .(I think so)

Or you could simply change the whole thing to be a front and back cover and leave the entire metallic torso of the motor exposed (except the holes). All you would have to do is properly glue and seal the covers onto the metal. The exposed metal will be your heat-sink... put it in water and it'll cool even better. I'm more worried as to how you will make the shaft water thigh. If your worried the metal will rust... paint it.

That's a great idea! Thanks!

Very nice design! You never know when you might want to use your Automated Build Platform outdoors when it's raining... LOL. Now all you need to do is design weather-resistant enclosures for our stepper motors (or a MakerBot-friendly umbrella) and we'd have basically everything in life figured out! :) Heh heh....

Very good design work. I love your attention to detail. Very professional.

Amphibious rapid prototyping, here we come!

Thanks for the kind comment.
