 Hi, new to the 3D printing world. I'm planning on making some of these, and just wanted to say thank you for adding the screen shot of the printer settings.

What did you use for the pin?

You can use a standard parallel pin (DIN 7)

I'm having trouble finding the pin with the specific dimensions- can you please link to one? Thanks!

what type of screw do you put inside the hinge (not front M4 screws)

You can use any hex nut, depending the use, a standard DIN934, a prevailing torque like DIN 985, or a dome cap if you want to protect the screw (DIN1587)

what position do I print the STL file ?? the position shown in the render above?

Yes, I print in the position shown in the render, with no supports.

Is this designed as a friction hinge or is it just a standard hinge? Im building my own laptop and was looking for any ready made hinges before modelling my own.

To any of you you have made this, what Infill did you use ? I am only swinging a set of acrylic doors on my printer housing. 2 door panels approximately 9"x10" ea. not a lot of weight. And these are Great looking hinges.

you can just scale it! What size do you need? [ (20/2) * 2 + x ] mm
(where x is the gap between 20 mm profiles)

Anyone found one of these that would work with a standard size acrylic to make doors for 20mm aluminum extrusion?
