I love it.
It is easier to use than the one you based it off of, I don't know why, the angle of the blade pretty much looks the same but I have had the other one for well over a year and always had to use more force to cut filament than I thought I should, yours however cuts through very easily, dunno exactly what you did different but kudos.
I hope you do not mind but I am making a remix of the base (it is printing now) adding a mounting tab so I can screw it to my printer frame, I may do another with a bowden hole with two small bowden pieces so there is no where and tear and then just have the filament pass through it as it prints, change filament and just hit the button, take the roll of, toss away the 3" piece between my bowden extruder and the cutter and be done with it. ;-)

Awesome! Glad it worked out for you! By all means, please do remix and share your design. It'd be great to see what you do to it.

Nice. Maybe add another set screw to back the blade?

Could you create a version that uses a "1-1/8 in. L x 3/8 in. D Compression Spring". Those appear to be more common and are available from Home Depot for just $2.74 for a set of 4. If they are not in your local store you can order them online and have them shipped to your store for free.

Nice design. Where did you get the spring? The best I can find on Amazon is a pack of 10 for about $12 with shipping. Also looked at some of the larger spring kits but they don't seen to include anything that size.

I got the spring (1 1/2" x 5/16" x .02") from Lowes hardware store. I believe they are the one's in the link below
