do you mind sharing the .step files? i would like to make some small adjustments for my machine

I have no step files, but:
solution 1:
you download freecad (as the name says: for free) and convert the fcstd files on your own

solution 2:
you tell me which part and I will see, when I find time for that... (may be a while, I am busy)

Thank you for your quick reply! ;)
Arduino programing is well known to me as I have build QuadCopters based on Arduino flight controlers.. But the Stepper motor control and the Break out boards are new for me... Unfortunately is the stepper controler you used discontinued - not sure if it can be replaced by something similar! But anyhow - your project is quite interesting and - if that is OK for you - I will contact you later for more info! At the time being I have to finish our house otherwise I get some trouble @ home... ;)

P.S.: 'erdinger' klingt Bayrisch - lieg ich da richtig? ;)

You are welcome to ask...

erdinger is bayrisch... man muss ja irgendein Namen haben und das Bier mag ich wohl. Ich komme aber ganz aus dem Norden.

What kind of controler and sw you are using? As I have the same proxxon device, I am quite interested in such an upgrade...
Thanks in advance,

Grias di Peter,

I use an arduino uno with popolu stepper controllers. You can download the firmware from the thing files. It is not far developed so it can not unterstand a lot of gcode. Somewhere on my hd there is also a small python prog I wrote to send a file to the controller, also not far developed but working. If you are interested just give me a note.
If you need help with wireing also don't hesitate to ask.

Greetings from Kiel (Germany)
