I made one out of PLA last year, fell apart this year but help up well first year.

This holds up ok in PLA? I should think ABS is better due to the biodegradable nature of PLA right?

Just one question - with the slots narrowing at the bottom, do you find that debris gets jammed?
I imagine slots with parallel sides could avoid this (potential) problem, if it is one at all!

Narrowing slots are just lasy design from lasy designer :-)
Parrallels slots would have been painful to draw with my actual knowledge of Sketchup.

It doesn't seems to matter anyway, I designed this thing to fill up my 7 m3 swimming-pool during spring. It's quite slow (15 days) but it works.

In my case, debrits are almost exclusively leaves.
If the diverter gets obstructed it would very simple to open it for cleaning, but it never happened in 2 years.

i installed a new Gutter, but I have 100mm diameter. could you provide a 100mm Version of your rain collector?

Nice idea, have you thought of making a square version?
id like to see how well this works but my guttering is square..

Give me the exact external size of your square guttering and i'll do a version for it.

Hi there.
Thanks for the prompt reply, its 65mm (just over 2 1/2 inches).
Which i think is the standard size for square pipe in the UK.
Looking forward to giving it a go..

Here you are sir :-)
