When I first started printing I was using the regular stock bed and after prints sometimes I was scraping glue/plastic off the print bed. During scraping some pieces of plastic would fly off the print bed into the small holes in the corner of the printer getting the underside area a little dirtier than I wanted. To control the mess I created these wire hide covers which have 3 different sizes for different wire hide thicknesses.
Small opening with no cutout on top
Medium opening with small cutout on top
Large opening with largest cutout on top
Printed in ABS with 3 shell layers, 7 top and bottom layers. My infill for these parts was 30% and layer height 0.12mm, feel free to change them to your desired amounts. Very minor supports used when printing on its back.
These covers are made to be installed without removing any of the cable connectors. The plugs are press fit into the holes, due to the printer wire holes being cut into the sheet metal you may need to file a very small amount of the plastic if your printer sheet metal cut was off by a minor dimension. I printed these multiple times to make sure they were a one print, one fit solution for my printer with no sanding required.
