NOTE: DESIGN IN PROGRESS. Functional-ish, but flawed in several ways. Comments welcome.
This is a bench vise designed to use one M14x2 (or 1/2"-13) "carriage bolt," and four M3 bolts.
It comes in many parts, with built-in supports for relatively easy printing.
The base clamp has a big hex hole which support the vise stand and platform. But the vise is removable from that hole, so other useful things could be swapped in.
Assembly pics coming soon.
A bit of sanding here and there, especially on the supports built into the main clamp. Superglue to attach things permanently, as needed. Optional plastic-to-plastic friction welding for additional strength (probably not necessary).
Entirely done from scratch in OpenSCAD, except for female side of the extrusion rails, which were adapted from here.
