where can i order these
1x 3mm axle for the lever (27mm long)

  • 5mm axle for lever part (32.5mm long)
  • 5mm axle for extending the motor axle into the ball bearing (12mm long)
  • The original UM2 extruder spring

Hey - is this still being worked on? I was wondering if you had the source files (Inventor/fusion?) available as I'd like to make some adjustments - I'm looking to make this accommodate a different rod (3mm is hard to come by) and make it more flexible filament friendly (remove some of the clearances on the "output" side of the extruder) - if this project is dead or your don't have access to the source files, I may end up just making my own similar design with these considerations.

As an edit: might also consider integrating planetary gear system to help provide more torque - these dual gear extruders benefit a lot from that.

I just deleted the "lever - no support" version file. I accidentally uploaded the v5 version which is incompatible with v6 so please don't use this if you already downloaded it.

I added two pictures of the brass grommet / bowden clamp.

Many thanks for the quick reply and assistance. I am also having trouble removing the support inside the lever. Do you have a STL of the lever without the support?

Which printer are you using? The support has a gap of 0.15 mm so if you print with 0.1mm layers it should be pretty easy to release it. I added a picture on how I do it. Place the lever on a support with an opening of 8mm (lower red circle) then use a M5 bolt place it on top of the support where the red arrow is. Just hit the bolt gently with a small hammer and the support should come out in one peace with a very clean inner surface in the lever. Should not need any finishing. You can remove it from the side. If you still can't get it to work, I added a stl file without support but I had no success printing it without.

Again many thanks for your quick responses. I was printing on my Kossel Mini. I was printing at 0.1 and tried getting it out with a rubber mallet and bolt. It ended up cracking. It does look like it should come out. I will try again.

Yes you need them, they fit in the extruder with the tapered side down. I heated them with a soldering iron and pushed them in. It might work to push them in cold but I broke one extruder doing it this way. I will add a picture!

Do you need the brass grommets that come with the bowden clamps you link to? How are they fitted to the extruder? I am printing three of these to go on my Kossel, which is having a Diamond hotend fitted.
