Hello Cheetahkid
Your new design is exactly wath i was lookin for.
Your design fit like a charm on the fan of my extruder.
The only thing to be perfect : the space between the small
holes must be 32.5mm, in the piece I printed, this space
is only 32mm, but this is only to reach perfection :) :) :)
Thank you again for your work and reactivity.
Sorcerer

I expanded a bit as you say 32.5mm.

I will readjust it again somewhere today. Thank to you. Any picture you have? do it in I made one.

My light support is not completly assembled. I wait the ultimate version to solder the leds and then I take some pictures.
Best regards
Sorcerer

Hello M8, thanks a lot for reply ....
My needs are for the extruder described here : thingiverse.com/thing:512338
But your design adapted for a 40mm fan will suit perfectly.
The part of you design witch is 3030mm must be 4040 with a center hole of
33mm (actualy 26mm).
The space between the holes of 3mm must be 32.5mm (actualy 24mm).
Thank you very much for your attention and my apologies for my terrible english
(I'm a french man)
Regards
Sorcerer

I added a 40mm fan version for you, let me know?

Hello ...
Nice design.
Would it be possible to have the same but for a 40mm fan ?
Or maybe the sources to adapt ?
Thanks a lot

tell me more what you want it for, type of extruder?

Nice simple design ... I tested a similar concept, using a short piece of LED strip lighting (3 LEDs, the minimum cut length, 12V operation). Mounted this on a piece of mylar and stuffed it under the Toranado fan grill, so it hung down like yours .. just to test it out with my on board OctoPi camera. This type of light under the extruder works well for visually looking under there, but the camera saw it as a lighting "hot spot" and messed up the exposure of the shot, looked really bad. That is why I designed my LED light bar system .. those bars can be angled and tilted and do through light evenly over the entire print bed, and under the extruder. ...if you didn't see it already: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1398522

LED Light Bar Logitech C525 Camera Magnetic mount

Neat LED Light Bar, it was one of a kind I was thinking.
I forgot to add for the close up.
I can control mine using a variable pot 10K, because I chosen ultra bright LEDs that have very low current so using 10K pot and vary just right for the camera.
