Just picked up a Sunhokey of craigslist and am looking to replace as many of the acrylic parts with 3D printed. Can anyone note if there's been a noticeable improvement in quality thanks to the new parts?

Great work on this, I'm about to upgrade the carriage with these parts and switch to a new e3d v6.

I was wondering, did anyone find or designed Z-braces for the Sunhokey to help it from bending so much when pushed from the top along the Y axis? Especially on the extruder motor side where it flexes way too much.

I really like your parts. I have been looking for something like this to mod my sunhokey, as with the stock X motor/tensioner setup it makes the printer to wide to fit into the server rack i have my printers in

I was wondering if you could provide a little bit more information about a few parts

X_tendichighia = I assume this is for the X tensioner? however i am not 100% sure if it mounts into the end with the motor or the oppisite (right) side. I assume the right?

blocca_barra = No idea, can you explain?

also are your motor supposed for the Z needed to make all this work? or no?

LOL, sorry for the italian names but when I designed them it was for my use.. :-)

1) yes, x_tendicinghia is the X belt tensioner, yes, it mounts to the right, opposite side of the motor, it's assembled inside the x_lato_dx.stl and you put your pulley inside it.
2) blocca_barra is to lock the Y bars, so you don't break the acrylic. I'll update the thing with some pics so will be easy to understand.

this cannot be used with 3 small linear bearing (2 top 1 bottom) right?

Hi, I just printed it out and its great. I have better quality prints and it doesn't wobble anymore. But I guess my hot end or my duct fan his not the same has your because the nozzle fan his too high. It blows directly in my heating block. Do you have a CAD file or a way that a could modify it.


sure, what you need? the fan blower? if you tell me the size want I can modify it, it's made with Autodesk Inventor if you want the file
